When we were putting the finishing touches on our kitchen renovation, one thing that stumped me was what to do for a window treatment. I took a chance and it was one of the easiest projects I've ever done.
I simply cut a 1x8 common board to about 3 inches longer than the window width, stained it using Minwax Weathered Oak, added d-rings to the back and hung it up. Easy peasy.
I loved it so much that I did the same thing in the guest bathroom upstairs (before it became the kids' bathroom).
